Once upon a time, there was a Moon goddess that fell in love with a silly wolf.
The silly wolf had sung her many songs of loneliness and misguided hope, and she felt pity for him. So one day she came down, and the silly wolf mistook her for a sign from heaven that he would no longer be lonely, and gave her many gifts in his joy. The Moon Goddess, surprised at his sudden generosity, fell for him even more. She confessed her love for him and promised to stay with him forever.
Eventually, they were married, and she grew round with child.
But the happy couple were not meant to be, for the Moon Goddess had done many bad deeds and was told she would be brought back to be punished. Saddened she begged to stay until her child was born, so that the innocent will stay innocent. Some of the gods felt pity for her, and promised that the child would stay with the father.
This is the story of that child.
