The world is soon to end due to an incoming meteor; an impending death for the majority of the world. In the small town of Louise, Delaware the people gather on Front Street to live out their final moments in the best or worst of ways. Our story follows a homeschooled teenage boy living in the nearby countryside with his mother. After his mother's seemingly untimely death he ventures to town

"I open my eyes and exhale, searching the room to determine what is amiss. Nothing. Nothing but the dust and the air. And yet, something lingers, something unsettling and alarming and indistinct all at the same time." - Humans are savage, perhaps the most savage creature of all. We substituted claws for weapons. Our bodies were cold so we killed for the fur of animals better than we. We created laws, religions, false ideologies - and we believe ourselves superior while we war with each other over land we do not own and things we cannot control. For all intents and purposes, we should have died out before we even began - but we became the best. Top of the food chain. And then there was the prophecy. And the food chain became irrelevant. And humanity became irrelevant. Because with the prophecy came the power to destroy the human race. Or the power to change it.
