This story is semi-autobiographical, depicting the alienated journey of a girl named Ellie. Ellie has spent most of her life trying to make and keep connections with others, but this is made more difficult by her parents forcing her to live in a cardboard box throughout her childhood. This is not a story of homelessness, but the main character does find herself without much of a place to call home.
