This story is the sequel to my previous story "King of the Vamps". It would be beneficial to read that story first as you will be introduced to some characters and certain plot points! Clayton, the son of revered King Ulric and Queen Amaryllis has reached the age to find his mate. The day he tracked her scent, he expected to find a gorgeous vampire attached to the scent. However, a small human child stood in place of his expectations. He felt an intense need to protect the little girl and to love and provide for her as an older brother would for their younger sister. Although he was expecting a mature female to complete his mate bond with, he is prepared to raise his young mate, who was unfortunately abandoned by her parents. He is determined to provide her a life full of happiness and love. ****** "What difference does it make how old I am? I'm not a little kid, Clay. If it's about me being 18, six months doesn't make a big difference." "You're making this very difficult for me," he said, his jaw clenched. "Please tell me," she whispered. Clay tilted his chin up and closed his eyes. He couldn't handle looking at her face. If he looked at her for one more second he would break. She was the only person in the world who held enough power to weaken him. "Please," her sweet voice whispered again. And there his resolve went. Completely out of the door. He grabbed her hips and pushed her against the wall. "You want to know, Hadley?" He asked, his voice dangerously low.

*draft 1 *If this is the 1st book in the series you've found, I recommend reading book 1 first before reading this one. Book 2 starts off almost exactly after book 1 ends. Now on the run, Emily, Jasmine, and Lily, have taken asylum at the Alpha King's home. Emily is still upset over what happened at the battle against the magical creatures and the royal family. Still suffering from nightmares of her birth, and now the battle and the death of her parents, Emily tries to be happy for Jasmine who is bonding with her long lost father. The Alpha King even offers Emily and Jasmine some training over being werewolves and how to connect with their creature side more. Emily takes focus on the training but when King Augustus takes revenge over the magical creatures taking out half of his family, he makes the magical creature factions to offer up some of their own in a brutal arena where they are forced to fight to the death. The Alpha King, who just found his daughter, doesn't want to hand her over but he hands Emily over, making her despise the Alpha King even more. In the first year of the brutal entertainment yet again for the humans, Emily meets fellow witch orphanage sisters Valentine and Violet. All three of them form an alliance and together will they win the brutal revenge arena King Augustus has them trapped in or would they die trying? Need to start at book 1? **Sequel to Abbernathy and the Two Kings ** One girl. Two loved ones missing. And magick that needs saving. This is Abbernathy and Magick's End, the third, and final, leg of Abby's journey. Seventeen-year-old Abbernathy Tells is on a mission: save her beloved cat. And no one, not two overly protective kings, or her easily agitated best friend is going to stop her. Or so, that's what she thinks, but after being informed of a friend's kidnapping, a friend who happened to be on an important mission herself to stop magick from dying, Abby has to put aside Sebbi's rescue in favor of finding Margo. Things only grow more complicated, however, when a key, a gift Lucy had given her before returning home, starts to hum, infecting her dreams with a place she's sure doesn't exist - a sea made entirely of smoke. To know what it all means, she'll have to find Margo. And to find Margo, she'll have to team up with old friends and family, who are all a little too eager to drop their royal duties and journey with her again, and go traipsing through the Eridan. WIP.
