There once was a girl who couldn't speak. She rarely said anything, but when she did- it was croaky and rasping, like metal on metal. Cochise was her name.
Her mother's death still looming; at eleven years old being handed over to a father's friend; she said three words that year.

Her brown hair was tangled and long, like it hadn't been cut in years. Her eyes glinted with a bit of green, and the chocolate brown seemed to be melting. Her skin was smeared with dirt, and the fingerprints burned red with inner fire on her right cheek. Tears threatened to escape the young child's eyes.

Will the young girl speak again, or will she silent forever? What caused her to be so hostile towards her own kind?
