Jenny Herrington's home isn't what she wished for. It never really has been. Not even before her mom walked out. Her dad is a deadbeat drunk that beats her now that her mom is out of the picture. However, Brayden can't stay in Denver forever - he has a life back in Rapid Falls that he needs to return to, one he invites her to be part of. Going back means facing all of her jagged edges again. She doesn't think she can face any of it just yet, so he leaves her with her mother and returns home. Despite her attempt at starting a new life, the jagged edges seem determined to cut her even deeper.
