Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. An opportunity to do just that is presented when the mismatched crew is presented with a task: rescue the kidnapped daughter of a black-market salesman and be granted safe passage to a planet without a single MBC colony to bother them. Even though making deals with thieves is generally regarded as a bad idea, there doesn't really seem to be a choice for these wayward souls.
