"Everybody alive here today has lost someone precious to them somehow, someway. Be it by the infection, or by other survivors who've lost their humanity along the way. We are all familiar with that pain, and share it with each other; that's what brings us closer and keeps us fighting together. Though five years have passed, there's still no word of anyone out there finding a cure or immunization. Even so, we all still have hope that one will be found, and we'll all be here waiting to embrace that day with open arms."

Kageyama and the rest of the team made it to safety along with a few family members of theirs. The only one missing is Hinata, who they haven't seen since the day of the outbreak. The small ginger hasn't left Kageyama's thoughts for a second over the last five years, and he never will.
