The poems in this collection show Strider's gift of being able to weave words into creative and surprising configurations. He manipulates words to do his will, taming them with his love for the sounds, rhythms and cadence of language. The result is poetry that is fresh, wild, sensual, and new. His poetry lulls the reader into hypnotic and sensual trances with imaginative renderings of lush landscapes of the mind, body,and nature. Pomegranate Flesh is a wonderful compilation of poems, resonating with a poet's passion for life, love, and language.
The Pomegranate is the national fruit and symbol of Armenia. It represents fertility, abundance and marriage. One ancient custom widely accepted in ancient Armenia was performed at weddings. A bride was given a pomegranate fruit, which she threw against a wall, breaking it into pieces. Scattered pomegranate seeds ensured the bride future children.

Music artist Penny knows all about her bass. A cynic, in a little too perfect but almost boring life with a constantly absentee husband. What starts as a diversion becomes her focus, as a series of events constantly keep her hooked with her coworker who she finds perfect. Is this going to be just another heartbreak situation for Penny? An open-ended fling? "That's strange," I said thoughtfully. His brow lifted. "What is?" "I always imagined that if fiction ever stepped out of a book, it'd smell like paper. Or ink. Or something like that." I studied him with exaggerated disappointment. "But you smell human. I feel misled." His lips curved - slow, deliberate. Dangerous. "Oh, love," he murmured. "I may not smell like ink..." His steps slowed. "But I assure you," he continued, leaning closer - not enough to touch, just enough to make my pulse stutter - "I taste like it." Heat rushed to my cheeks, the blush spreading like wildfire as I stared at him, utterly shocked. "If you doubt me," he said softly, eyes dropping to my mouth, "there's a very simple way to confirm." In one swift movement of my hand I reached behind Sapphire's neck and released her hair from the low ponytail it was in. She gasped at my action and looked at me with feverish eyes. I thought I saw the colour gold flicker in her eyes, for a few seconds before I lifted my hand near her face and tucked a strand of her wavy hair behind her ear, before I said: "I fell in love with you, the first second I saw you reading that Tolstoy book in the library." She looked up at me, her warm beige skin looked like it was glowing now and she said with pure sincerity in her eyes "per sempre, in ogni dimensione, per sempre in ogni vita, solo tu fino al mio ultimo respiro amore mio" It meant (Forever, in every dimension, forever in every life, only you until my last breath, my love) I snaked my hands around her waist and pulled her close to me. Before kissing her the way I wanted to all this time, i looked into her eyes and said "Me too my love, me too." My first novel is about soulmates. And reincarnation. About, how many bodies a soul has to live in before they finally become their true selves. And before they finally get to be with their soulmate. It's about how love has so many faces. It's about how we never know what roads life will force us to cross. And what emotions we will be gifted to feel. And the things we're blessed with that sometimes we neglect. It's about giving yourself the time to grow and evolve before you give yourself to someone completely. And it's about not to take the love you have in your life for granted.Lengkap

He swiped my sweat-soaked hair off my neck, resting his lips against my ear. His fiery breaths blew across my earlobe. My body shuddered once again, craving more of him. His favorite, my brain stuck to his words like glue. Clinging to the small hope we'd continue this somewhere else, more than once. We stayed in that position for a moment before his body heat disappeared from my back. He lit a cigarette in front of me, the flash of the lighter illuminating his flushed, sweat-soaked face. I leaned against the brick wall, finding comfort in the coolness against my heated skin. His eyes met mine again. I didn't think I could move from the spot, but he forced me to when he held up a red, lacy thong in between his fingers. My red lacy thong. Life: A journey towards self love or....... self hatred
Poems are a great help to depression. My cover is not be very appealing and my title seems boring. Poems are also not liked by people very much and is considered boring. I may not get many views. But in the end "Don't judge a book by it's cover" only wins. So I have bought you some sad poems, food related ones, poems related to the things I love, Love yourself, Romantic and many more. These are written by me and please don't post it anywhere without my permission. To explain you why I have added a pink heart with black background, it is because the poems tell a story of girl(me) to whom people think she is very cold, straight forward, rude and all those things but... in reality she is too soft for this harsh world. The pink heart represents the softness she is hiding inside using her black side so no one would misuse her. The angel in her still haven't faded after getting betrayed, lost, depressed, fake people, bully and many more. She doesn't wants to go through this again. The pink background in the upper half tell that she still have hopes in her life. I want the readers to know the deep meaning behind the Title themselves and I won't reveal it until the end of the book. Keep your guesses up and think what possibly could be the meaning of this unusual title. Thank you and enjoy the journey of this little girl warning: if you are expecting this to be a story then sorry it isn't a story but a collection of poems written by the "little girl" depending on her mood that time. It is more like a Journey. You could skip it if you want to. Or learn about the little girl I'm representing/my life.
