I do not particularity like the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy so I will make my own remake base on the ideas from the actual films and fan theories. I will keep the same titles, characters, factions  as the actual films. I will tie it in to the past six episodes. There are two years in between each episode in my Sequel Trilogy. Making Episode IX exactly seventy years after Episode I. It will tie the 2 previous trilogies and the only 2 good cartoons (The Clone Wars 2008 & Rebels 2014) together into one story. This is a more satisfying end to the Skywalker Saga.

MM's Episode VII: The Force Awakens
30 years after the battle of Endor. Luke vanishes but starts a race to find him for winning Jedi training from him. While his nephew, Kylo Ren/Ben Solo starts the First Order from the ashes of the Galactic Empire to destroy the New Republic which formed from the Rebellion.

MM's Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
2 years after Rey started Jedi training from the last true Jedi Luke. Rey is starting to get frustrated that Kylo said that she is "significant" and Luke confirmed this but does not tell her because she is not ready so she starts to think that joining Kylo Ren might be a better bath.

MM's Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

Ah yes, the finale of my sequel trilogy rewrites, this time with a retitling of "Duel of the Fates" which was also the original title for Collin Trevorrow's Episode IX. That script is SO MUCH better than Rise of Skywalker, however, it is also restrained by the atrocity that is the original Caption episode VIII, meaning there are still some significant issues with his episode IX even though I think it's a massive improvement. So, this will be an almost entirely original ninth film outside of some inspiration from Rise of Skywalker as well as Duel of the Fates. This will be the biggest departure of any of the films yet. In my Force Awakens rewrite I took a lot of beats from the original film, with Last Jedi I strayed a lot more but still kept some similarities, but with this one, there will be little to know resemblance of the original film. Poe buries himself in work as he tries to forget his failures and forge ahead. Leia attempts to cement her legacy and ensure the future of the galaxy. This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. As Luke disappears so does her chance to hone her powers and become a Jedi. Now apart of the Resistance, she reunites with her parents to find Luke and bring down the sinister First Order. She also meets the dashing pilot Poe Dameron, who makes her feel whole again. Will their budding romance ruin her dreams of becoming a Jedi? Will she be able save her brother from the clutches of Supreme Leader Snoke? *I do not own any of these characters. The story is one I've been working on after watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens - which if you haven't seen yet you definitely should... It's amazing! Please don't yell at me if I don't follow the star wars canon correctly or completely. I'm just a Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron fangirl.
