Sherwin is hiding his gayness from the world around him, he has extremely large feelings for his upper-classman, Jonathan. Jonathan, being the most popular person at Newgate Junior High School, feels if he tries to share his sexuality to everyone he'll become unpopular. Sherwin's feelings get exposed when his heart metaphorically comes out of his chest and tries to catch the person he has liked for many years in his tiny, suffocating closet.

In a HeartBeat is based on a short film made by Esteban Bravo and Beth David. It went viral this year, when I first watched it, I fell in love with it. It's about a boy (Sherwin) who has a crush on his cute boy (Jonathon) and too shy to show his love for him, but his heart wouldn't handle it and wanting to be with Jonathon, of course in the middle made me feel emotional. Everybody in the school, even Jonathan found out that Sherwin loves him, his heart broke and thinking Jon hates him now. In the end, Jonathon brings back Sherwin's broken heart and also fell in love with him, knowing he likes him this whole time. It's a cute short film, I wish they made a movie on it. I cried so many times when I see this, because I support Gays and thinking same sex love is good. This is my own fanfiction based on this adorable short film, hope you'll enjoy it. Sean Owens: a stoic, popular jock that's mostly known for his sporty lifestyle and his good looks at his school. No one -not even his closest friends- know he's gay, but he's never tried to hide it, just never tried to show it either. The one person that he thought he would tell about his sexuality was the same person that made him realize it, but that person stopped talking to him soon after he moved. It had been so long he couldn't even remember what his face looked like. But he didn't matter now, what mattered now to Sean was to get through this last year of highschool, and to get into college. Simple as that, it wasn't like his past crush was going to randomly appear in his school or something. Will Sin-Nombre: a Hispanic, jokester that comes from Catholic family, and had to be homeschooled after a rather serious fight that may have, or may have not earned him a trip to the hospital, and some minor memory loss.
