Rin, 20, is sent on a course for revenge. But when nothing is as it seems, her loyalties get tested. Will she remain true to the Nameless, or shall she, too, stray from it's path?

Wights - The Awakening
In Venja, the magical beings known as the wights have long been hidden from human eyes. They are nothing more than superstition now. One of the few who still knows of their existence and can sense them at the edges of reality is Andár. He is a darkar-tharak, a sword mage, in the service of the Outsiders. His duty is to serve the people of Venja, preserve lives on a grand scale, and keep the darkness at bay. He operates beyond the boundaries of morality and wields magical powers bestowed upon him from the wight realm. However, his loyalty and very life are at risk of being undone when he receives his greatest and most important mission yet. Defying Fate
Please don't read this, I wrote it in middle school and it's really bad. I just don't want to delete it because some people might get mad at me ;-; Maybe someday I will rewrite it. "What kind of fairytale is this? Where's the happy ending?" The little girl, approximately 7 years old, asked her mother. "That's what I wanted to teach you May, you should know now, that life isn't always going to have a good end. Bad things are going to happen, and if you play them off and ignore them, it will only worsen," May's mother explained. May nodded slowly. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Once upon a time, is how most fairytales start. Then, they end with a happily ever after. But not this story... There once was a prince, who fell in love with a girl. But she wasn't a princess. She was the hand maiden of a nobleman's daughter, who had eyes for the young prince. The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth. But it was true. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It's up to May and Drew to break the hold destiny has on them, to fight for their own way.
