I hear my heartbeat. I have been looking at him for too long. But then again, he has been looking back at me, his tranquil blue eyes swallowing me whole. I feel that we have this connection, like we were both trying to express something others can't hear. But then again, I might be imagining it all. That is highly possible, and that's because I am Alexis Leah, an outcast. And in our school, outcasts don't mix with the popular people.

-

People like Alexis and Carter simple don't mingle together.

Alexis is a shy, socially-awkward girl from Los Angeles who had a dark past. She was facing trust problems since young.

Carter is a regular teenage boy with a rebellious streak. He yearns to break away from the grasp of his over controlling parents and friends who don't really understand him and accept him for who he truly was.

But what happens when two people of total opposite social status and personality clash together? Again and again, the two chance upon each other. The two people who are least expected to hang out with each other, doing just that?
