She wasn't godsend, no nothing of that sort. Born on the wrong side of the border, with the wrong kind of parents her life wasn't destined to anything extraordinary. But you can't blend in if you're born to stand out. Among the few she was born with a gift, an ability that set her apart. Her station, however, gave her an insight of the injustice and inequality of her nation, where the gifted ruled with an iron fist. Joining forces with a rebellion in a neighboring country to fight for civil rights she becomes a part of a revolution. When the rebellion reaches the doorsteps of her own country, she becomes an important figure and is captured as a prisoner of war. A series of unfortunate events lead her to the enemy's base and their military academy where she must cooperate in order to survive. But can she turn her back on everything she believes in or will she find a way home? ------///------ The chair crashed down upon him and broke. He groaned loudly as he was flattened between the ground and the chair and didn't manage to get himself up before she had freed herself of the wooden pieces. With her hands free she quickly pinched a pressure point in his neck and he fell down, unconscious. Still gasping for air, she allowed only one shaking breath before she went down to business and unwound her feet from the rope. She was nearly at the door, before she realized what she had forgot. So, she made her way back to the guard, then pulled the cloth out of her mouth and stuffed it between the guard's slack lips. "Sleep tight, hon" and with that she was out of the room.
