However, she would never be queen even if she was the firstborn of the Crown Prince.
That's her backstory, but that's not even scratching the surface to how she worked with Snow & Charming against the Evil Queen, the helped Emma & the other heroes fight every villain that came their way. Or, how she found her true love.

I never imagined the stories my mom told me about the Evil Queen and Snow White and so many other fairy tales were real. But they are. And they're about her and everyone else trapped in Storybrooke.
