After the unexpected death of his parents, Hitaru's life takes on a monotone hue. He seems to lose his will to do anything, and after none of his friends make even the smallest effort to bring him back to happiness, he begins to think he's truly alone in the world. While he's visiting his parent's grave, he comes face to face with a girl who claims she's an angel. Doubting the girls claims, Hitaru runs away only to find her at his door the next morning. Heasitantly obliging to the girls pleas of wanting to help him, he finds himself slowly being drawn to her over cheerful ways. As he starts to fall in love with the seemingly nameless girl, he realizes her claims about being an angel were never false, and that their love goes against the world.
