Nearly two decades have passed since the United States was salted into radioactive oblivion and forsaken by the outside world. Now, as the twentieth anniversary of the Salting approaches, the Triumvirate of Newnyc vies within itself for control-and the future of the city. Caught in the midst of this turmoil are a few dozen young cadets, the last hope for Newnyc's survival in a ruined world. As they are called into action, they find themselves embroiled in a web of deceit, uncertain alliances and ever-deadlier stakes. Suddenly they're not just fighting for Newnyc's survival...
