Subject E5-09 was part of HYDRA's earlier experiments with the mind stone. All of the test subjects had died; All but her. This left HYDRA with an impulsive 13-year-old to turn into the assassin of the future. When the chance to escape HYDRA present's itself, Subject E5-09 takes it.
Thought she had always waited for this day, Subject E5-09 never thought she would draw that much attention. Now, SHIELD wants her, the Avengers are looking for her, and HYDRA's waiting around every corner.

I only own the main character, Subject E5-09, originally named Chloe, aka the Sapphire Spirit. The plot line mainly goes to Stan Lee and Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of Captain America: Civil War, during which this story takes place. All other existing characters and backstories are credit to Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and many others.

This story takes place right after Age of Ultron, which was in 2015. Right after, Subject E9-05 gets out, and the following year, Civil War happens. Just thought I'd say that.Creative Commons (CC) Attribution

The people on the van saw an opportunity and took the little girl from the streets. The people were HYDRA. They took her to their labs and when she tried to escape they would beat her. They ran test on her, a lot of test, until she became deaf. But that didn't stop them; they taught her lip reading as well as sign language. Then something happened. The girl was finally free after 9 years of imprisonment. She walked a long way until she found a city. The very city she was dumped off by her mother. She looked up and there were buildings taller than anything she had ever seen. The 11 year old started to walk around and found a corner. She sat down and rested her head on the wall. When new intel comes through about a Hydra weapon, the avengers split into two teams, one checking out a new base, while the other scours an old one. It's no coincidence that the intel comes through, and they find files about experiments done to one person. 'winter 2.0' the team calls her, but to Bucky, the fear sinks in as memories resurface about one soldier in particular, Ace. Stronger, deadlier and she made the winter soldier in him afraid. The work together to find out all they can, not realising that they are being watched by the very soldier herself. After an attack on the compound, which leaves quite a few of the team shaken, one avengr in particular is intrigued by the univited guest now residing in the holding cells. Who is the masked assailant, and why is it, she listened to him? **** The soldier begins to remember her past, fighting against all the Hydra conditioning, to remember who she was.
