Jacob's poetry collection, The Glass Sponge, traces family moments in "Dream House" through the "…lazy moonlight" as the sound barrier is broken, warning us, Ozzy and Harriet have stepped out. A tenderness emerges through the fear and angst of family abuse with a compassionate eye and an intimate understanding of the toll abusers demand.

Fragments of Sanity: A Canvas of Whispers
The first book in the 'Sanity' Trilogy Scarlett has been given the short end of the stick, born into a rich family and given the gifts of athletic and academic brilliance, she clearly overshadows her peers. However, her home life is less than spectacular with themes of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and self-harm painting the picture of her reality at home. When she finally has had enough and snaps, her mind is fragmented into a thousand voices as she throws herself into her new mission: freedom, by any means necessary. Read with Caution. "... A lighter was produced, a small piece of toilet paper in the other hand. A light, an ignition, and the flaming paper was dropped into the trash, igniting the waste as my own fire burned in that bed. My few, sacred fragments of sanity were burning. And it was only a matter of time before the rest of this house did too.
