Celina Phantomhive returns from Boarding school mid-year with no plans of going back. Coming back to the Phantomhive estate, coming back to her twin brother, seems like a blessing the day she gets word of her summons, while sitting in a stuffy dorm room. The day she arrives, though, only leads to questions.
The first questions she needs to answer are: who the Hell is Sebastian Michealis? And what's his history with Celina's demonmaid, Sophia?
But following that comes a whirlwind of other questions: Demons can have soulmates? What's the price, in gold, of a human soul? And since when did Prince Edward of England start looking for a wife?
She knows she won't find all of the answers. Hell, she'd be happy to simply find a few, but whatever supernatural forces do exist, they aren't going to make it easy for her. And neither is her twin brother, the head of the Phantomhive house and the Queens famous guard dog. Prince, keeping her, one of his 5 personal assassins, up to her elbows in work, may just make it the hardest.
However, between Sophia Illian, the demon maid sworn to protect Celina until the contract is filled, and Countess Theodosia Redferne, one of Celina's best friends since she was young, she figures she may just find a few.
Celina Phantomhive's story, given in the point of view of the assassins.

The first letter was sealed with a wax stamp with the Prince's Royal Seal on it, and my name was written in beautiful blue-purple ink. I popped the seal open and carefully opened the letter, careful not to tear it.
"Sophia, prepare the carriage please. Miss. Redferne and I will be going into the city," I called out, my eyes not leaving the letter. There was another sheet of folded paper in the envelope, a cover letter, most likely. There was only a few things written on the paper I read.
Target:Alexander Eaton
Crime:Traitor to the crown, murderer
Time:Midnight, December 12th
I had 3 days to find and kill a killer.
