Claire Retreece and Reed Haley have been best friends since Pre-School. Claire had has been there for every hookup and random fling Reed has had with some random girl, and Reed had has been there every time Claire had has developed some hopeless crush on any random boy. With Claire's growing romance with Reed's best friend, Shayne, and Reed's own liking to Claire's sister, Macey, the two help each other out with their love lives during their Spanish Project meetings. But when Claire starts to doubt her feelings for Shayne, and Reed realizes Macey's personality isn't as beautiful as her looks, the two find themselves discovering feelings surfacing they have never felt before. While Reed's friendship with Shayne is on the verge of breaking and Claire is slowly destroying her relationship with her sister, the pair realize that sometimes, love isn't as easy as getting together with the support of friends.
