Marianna is a powerless, weak elf who survives by stealing. One day, she meets Prince Leontis, the son of the much feared Fire King. Marianna despises the Fire King and so wants nothing to do with the prince, but he seems intent on becoming close to her. Life then gets all the more confusing and frustrating when he tells her he wants to overthrow his father and put someone else, not even himself, on the throne.
Prince Leontis is lonely. He has no real friends, and he is constantly neglected by his father. Plus, his past is constantly haunting him. One day, he meets a lovely girl named Marianna who seems just as lonely as him. He starts to fall in love with her, and then his father tells him to find people against him and kill them. Right after Marianna told him she wants to join the Black Vipers , the resistance against the king. Will his love for Marianna prevail, or will he be the obedient son and destroy the growing rebellion?

They were Demi-immortal, only to be killed by deliberate intent. They have familiars, linked to their very souls, which they bond with using an ancient ceremony. Elementals, the children of elves after centuries of descent. Humans are the most common species, and are generally magicless. Humans with magic are called mages . Elves are very rare, as all elves went into hiding after the Great War between the gods centuries ago. Occasionally and elf would leave home and into the world, but no fire elf has ever left their home and had children living on the mainland so there are no fire elementals. Fire elves have a bond with the dragons who's volcanoes and islands they shared, a bond that would last generations. In the current day, there is one tribe remaining: the Ryoko Tribe. The name meant "woman who is like the dragon," a fitting name for a tribe led by a head woman. This woman was lady Hyria Tatsu, the eldest of the tribe. Her apprentice goes by the name of Mina Ryoto. Star and Moon, two dragonets, would only bond with Mina. None of the other children were able to bond with the two dragonets. This was one of the reasons Hyria had chosen Mina. Only those of great legends could bond with two beasts. It would be a hard road for her, but being this special could turn out for the best. The world might depend on her one day.Complete
