Atlan lives on Atlas, the Underwater Planet. He is dragged to a inter-galactic meeting attended by all leaders of the planets, although he'd much rather be doing anything else. Until he meets her. 

Skye lives on Calypso, the Planet of the Seven Suns. All her life, she dreamed of finally leaving her planet and visiting as many other beings as she possibly could. When that opportunity arises, she expects one thing, but gets something completely different. And she's not mad about it.
