The pain was immense as Marie sobbed on all fours on the floor. "Mom! What's wrong?" asked Noel as she made her way to a hysterical Marie. Noel was rubbing Marie's back tenderly and asked one of her friends to call an ambulance. A sudden occurrence took place at that moment and Noel's look of concern, quickly switched to a look of exasperation. A little girl's voice suddenly came out of Marie's mouth quite shockingly. "Hey! You! Quit working out asshole! You're hurting my mommy, ya' idiot!" snapped the little girl's voice. Noel's friends simply blinked in disbelief and glanced at one another. Noel simply scoffed and pulled a pained looking Marie up off the floor. "Stop it Riri. Are you making up some stupid story again?" muttered Noel while she dusted off Marie's knees. "The shithead is working out! Ooh! I'm telling Pa-paw on you! I'm tellin' niggah!" screamed out the little girl's voice. "Stop it! Oh gawd, this is so embarrassing," grumbled Noel as she peered over to her friends in a silent apology. "What's wrong with your mom?" asked one of the girls while Noel ushered them outside the room. Noel took a deep breath before closing the door. She had put on a video of South Park before she left the room and gave Marie a bag of chips and soda. The jubilant looking Marie was now laughing at the TV screen in apparent ignorance before the door shut behind Noel and her friends. "My mom has DID," answered Noel in utter embarrassment. "What's DID? Is she possessed or something?" asked her friend with an amused grin on her face. "I wish. It's called dissociative identity disorder. My mom was raped like a whole bunch of times or something when she was younger. Fuck it. Let's go guys. I don't wanna talk about it anymore," muttered Noel as she grabbed a jacket before they left the house. © 2020 Jeannie Mane. All rights reserved.
