Clary Fray had turned 18 and she all of a sudden had her world turned upside down. Then all of a sudden, she is thrusted into a world war of two worlds, the Shadowhunters world which was also the human one, and the Demon one. Then Clary finds out that she has an older sister, Ren Fairchild, who has the same powers she has, except more powerful. Ren is 3 years older then Clary and remembers the day she was dumped by their mother, like it was yesterday. Ren is clearly an able fighter, but can she fight a war, keep her little sister safe as well as her adopted siblings, and still uphold the oath she made to the Clave, while still saving the mother that abandoned her? They will all have to stand together, or none will survive. Welcome to the Shadowhunters.

For a year Clary Fray had felt something was missing from her life. She felt the weight of memories and stories which were locked away from her. Until that one night she saw this beautiful yet familiar stranger at an art exhibition and it sets up a process of remembering who she really was. Will she be able to start over where she left off and will she be able to cope with the void her absence left within her loved ones? What will happen when they find out Valentine is still alive and has Jocelyn Fray; Clary's mother. They and The Clave will do anything to get their hands on the Mortal Cup; the most important thing in the shadow world. Before downworlders do, better yet before Valentine does. Everyone wants The Mortal Cup and it's up to the shadow hunters and Clary to find it. Secrets will be unraveled and trust will be broken.

Jace is madly in love with his Clary. Their relationship have been surrounded by so many tragedies. He lost Clary while battling Lilith but founder her with her demon brother in Paris, again when the twining rune that Lilith drew on her to bring back Jonathan to life, then the last straw was when Raziel punished her for saving the world. This was the hardest thing he endured because his Clary lost her memories of him and the Shadow World. He watched her from afar, always ready to protect her. Jace was waiting for the day that she would see him again and remember. That day came one night during Clary's art exhibition. She saw him standing there watching her. After that all memories came back and his Clary came back to him. Five years have gone by and their relationship has been stronger than ever, so he decided to ask her to marry him. Little did he know that that the one question he was going to ask Clary was going to change his life forever. Will Jace recover this time or will he lose his mind forever.
