Charlotte was a young 21 year-old that lived a miserable life. Both her parents left her ever since she was 3, and she stayed with her aunt, Gabrielle Smith. Her aunt had been abusing her and her husband was an alcoholic and always demanded money from poor Charlotte who had several part time jobs. Other than having a roof above her head and a little food to eat, her life was like hell. Since her aunt's husband gambled, they lost all the money they had and ended up owing people thousands of dollars. Sometimes, she thought about running away, far from her abusive aunt and her husband, but she got scared just thinking about all the things they would do to her if they would've found her back by any chance. One day, after she got back from one of her jobs, she found a stranger with guards surrounding him at her house. To her terror, she realized her aunt had sold her off to this strange man named Aiden Matthew. Was it a good thing or a bad thing? She didn't know. Even if she did, what rights did she have? Charlotte's opinion wouldn't have mattered in the first place anyways. Her aunt would never had say no to a life supplement given by a rich man who just appeared out of nowhere.
