Love is interpreted by different people in different ways but what constitutes true love. Damilohun and Ayobami met in the University and they began a relationship based on Christian doctrines and injunctions. Ayobami travels outside Nigeria to the United States of America to further his studies.
He visits Nigeria after four years to put finishing touches to his marriage to Damilohun which is scheduled to hold in exactly three months.
On arrival in Nigeria events unfold and some dark truths begin to emerge which throws the whole planning into a roller coaster. Will the thorns prevent a direct access to the rose or will the rose be choked to death by the thorns?
