Silent Eyes

With an aching heart, I went near the seat where the Bride and Groom were seated. Upon reaching the seat, I sat in the middle and gave them the most seemingly genuine smile I could gather.
"Congratulations Rahil bhai and Raniya bhabi. I'm so happy for both of you." My voice cracking in the end which fortunately failed to go noticed by them.
"Thank you Zoya." They beamed. We took some pictures together and I got up to leave. Looking back, I couldn't help but feel an immense pang in my chest as I saw him eyeing his wife with all the love in the world.
With teary eyes I turned around and headed outside, towards a new beginning...
