Broken glass is a story about the four main traits that make up Thomas Sanders. Anxiety, Creativity, Morality, and Logic. They all make up the main portions of Thomas's brain. However, Anxiety keeps on being pushed to the back and told that he is doing nothing but hurting Thomas. Virgil (Anxiety) lets unwanted fears creep into his head as he slowly is being pushed farther and farther away from everyone else. How much will it take before he breaks?

Virgil has the next couple years of his life planned out: he'll graduate from high school and study Graphic Design in college. His roommate will be his best friend, Roman. At the end of college, he'll move into an apartment, get a boyfriend and start his life. But as he gets caught up in how he really wouldn't mind that boyfriend to be Roman, his high school throws a three-day school trip at him and his friends. He gets placed in a cabin with not only Roman, but his two other friends Patton and Logan. The four of them are also in an activity group together, which means that the four of them will be around each other for most, if not all, of the 72-hour period. So, here Virgil is. Stuck far away from home in a cabin with his crush. For three. Whole. Days. Virgil has been established as an important part of Thomas...and his counterparts were working on the rest. When Virgil lifted his head from his hands, he locked eyes with Princey. He looked shocked and afraid and a million other emotions that swirled together in a jumble of curiosity and confusion. Virgil calmed the panic in his brain quickly enough to stand. "I-I'm just going to-to go..." he whispered, suddenly more interested in his feet than Roman's face. He made his way to the door a few feet away, ignoring the sound of movement behind him. "Virgil, wait!" Roman grabbed onto his wrists, stopping him. Instantly, the anxiety bubbled up inside of him and Virgil's hand began to shake. "Please let me go..." He mumbled, the sound barely audible, even in the uncomfortable silence that hung in the room like smog. "Virge-" "Please..." A single tear dropped from one of his eyes as he squeezed them both shut as tight as he could. Slowly, Roman's grip loosened and Virgil reached for the doorknob, slipping out of the room and into the safety of his own. ATTENTION: This book is undergoing editing. His only real friend is his Royal Assistant Logan Crofters. Lord Virgil Anxiety of the Dark Forest is the ruler and protector of the dark forest. He's known more as a legend/myth to everyone outside the dark forest, or as a evil, vious ruler. But to the creatures in the forest, he's a kind, lonely protector that just needs a little love. His only friend is a village boy that visits him named Patton Morre.
