Abomination

The year is 2080, the world has been catastrophically destroyed by a series of events known as The Reckoning. These events left the world bathed in radiation, a type that hadn't been discovered and altered the DNA of those remaining. The effect was discovered to be varied by blood-type. Type A or B and you were barely affected, with only minor mutations. Type AB blood caused those to gain strange abilities and they were known as The Inflicted. Finally those with type O blood were the victims of severe mutation that corrupted their minds and body, turning them into, Abominations. These creatures feasted on the flesh of the dead and never wasn't hungry.
Bryson is a bitter man, not only has he lost his entire family and loved one. But he is also cursed with the rare trait of being Inflicted. Both of these caused him to carry an air of isolation and he is not one familiar with empathy. He has grown cold and is determined to survive at all costs. No matter the moral cost.
Raine is a girl, not blessed with many gifts, all she's known is fighting. She wants a world of peace but she has no clue how to get there. She is a kind soul and she will resort to fighting only as a last resort if she isn't fighting an Abomination. But the flame of youth pride burns bright enough for her to stay warm hearted despite the rapidly deteriorating condition of the world.
Will the pair survive in a world filled with evil gangs, Abominations, a corrupted government system, and many other things that are trying to kill them. Or will they perish and be forgotten, much like the world of the Old ones.
