Gettysburg was a violent, dangerous, and bloody battle with many losses. Some had the chance to tell their stories. But others would never. In this short story, I tried to create a realistic story of a Confederate soldier from the American Civil War. Caution: Graphic Violence and Adult Language (Racial Slurs) Used. All Characters are a work of fiction.

I can divide my military service into four conditional parts or stages. The first and most challenging stage for me and my comrades was basic training-the initial two and a half months of service in the army. My autobiographical story, told entirely from my perspective, will detail everything that happened there.
