After being told outright by everyone that he could never be a hero, Izuku has almost no hope left, and then the little that he does have is crushed by the man he's idolized for years. He realizes quickly that this day was one of the worst days ever for him, but it's not only because All Might gave him the harsh reality of things.

He was also laughed at by his entire class for wanting to go to UA, had his notebook almost completely destroyed, was told to kill himself by his first and only friend, attacked by a villain, had the last of his hopes and dreams crushed by the one and only person who could've saved him, and then, to top it all off, was the big, fat cherry...

He fell off the roof of a building.
