"Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling, By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore. "Though the crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven, Ghostly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore-Tell me what thy lordy name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
      Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"
Edgar Allan Poe "The Raven"

"Oh Raven, won't you sing me a happy song?" She spoke teasingly.

"I don't sing."

She smiled leaning close to his ear, "Why?"

"I don't sing. Nothing else to it."

She then leaned away turning to face the night sky, "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore."

She was a girl from inside the wardrobe. He was a boy from outside the wardrobe. ~~~~ "You're joking?" I scoff. "These are the Prophecy?" I pointed at the three children standing beside them. It was like an inside joke that wasn't even laughable. "Yes, sweetheart! You cannot deny the coincidence that is happening all around us." Mrs. Beaver explained. Her motherly tone brought me some reassurance. I nodded reluctantly, glancing at the three children standing awkwardly. "So much for a Prophecy." ~~~~ "Is Aslan really your father?" Lucy asked me. I smirked in amusement as she sat down beside me at the river. "Is that what everyone keeps telling you?" Lucy nodded innocently. It was adorable how her cheeks redden in embarrassment. "No," I answered, "he isn't my father by blood but I like to think of him as one." I turn to the flowing river, watching as the tiny fishes jump every now and then out of the water. "He raised me, saved me from dying. I never knew my parents. Don't know if they're looking for me or continuing on with their lives like nothing is missing." I shrugged hoping to fool anyone who thought otherwise. If I put my guard up maybe no one will notice. ~~~~ "A King is never a King without his Queen by his side." A voice said from behind me. I smiled at his attempt of trying to woe me. "Oh?" I didn't need to take a look to know that he was already next to me. His warmth radiated to me like a magnet. "So, why is everyone calling me 'King' when my Queen is out here?" Peter said. I whipped my head over at him, baffled at his confidence. He smirked making me swoon for him even more. Especially, the way the setting sun shinned against his dirty blande hair and his blue eyes glowed even brighter. ~~~~ The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe {P. Pevensie} {The Shadow Series} {Part of Across The Multiverse Series} {Book 1} All of the credit of the books belongs to C.W. Lewis and the movies belong to Disney. Rosentine let out an audible snort, unladylike and deliberate. "I'm flattered, Your Grace," she said with a mock bow. "But I am not interested in further igniting that heat between those legs of yours. So please spare me some trouble." What an unwomanly gesture. But she could care less. If that's the means to get herself away from this man like a magnet, she might as well paint herself as mean and unapproachable as she goes. But just as she hoped to successfully distance herself, a strong arm grabbed her forearm. It was surprisingly gentle, but with a man's strength, she felt being pulled back, forcing her to face him. Upon doing so, her slightly trembling eyes met his. Other than his voice, his manly structure, and his cursed dimple, it seemed like his eyes were what made her avoid him. Blue as an ocean, she swore she saw them glistening under the sun. But instead of the usual look he would give her every time, this one looked different. She had never seen the ocean before in her entire life, but his eyes alone made her feel like she touched beautiful waves in a beach paradise. He released her, his gaze dropping to his boots as a low chuckle escaped him. His curls bounced lightly, and his broad shoulders shook with quiet mirth. "Those things you've just said," he stopped midway, finally looking at her in faint bewilderment, "... you never fail to amuse me, Miss Blackburn." God, she hated it. What does this man want from her anyway? But it is expected from a man like him. Jonathan Campbell, the young Duke of Lennox, has a strong reputation for being a ladies' man. Aside from his wealth, farmlands, and financial intellect, his charm among women just distances him from other noblemen. "You never fail to annoy me, too, Your Grace," she retorted. "You're such an untamable woman, aren't you?" He mused back. "Perhaps," she said, "but I don't intend to be tamed by the likes of you." Her lips curved into a frown. "If anything, it's you who'll be tamed."

"I have many names, oh great dragon. I am Lithir, the many faced, though one face I have only, and I am Esta, the first, yet many came before me, I am the Fierce, the Swift, the Free, I am a wanderer, veiled, yet a princess at court, and I am mortal and immortal both." "And dwarf-friend, as well, for I smell their scent upon you. Tell me, many-named, have you come to slay me?", Smaug growled denunciatorily [...]. She gripped the handle of her dagger while spinning around with wide eyes, as if she was afraid and found herself face to face with Smaug and with a swift movement she aimed for the eyes to incapacitate him, for the blade was not long enough to go deep. And Smaug reared and bled and in his anger spit fire at his attacker and Estateillio quickly jumped aside and drew her bow. The arrow would have hit his other eye had he not moved so much, but when she extended her hand, his head was jerked around as the dagger [...] was yanked from injured flesh and returned to its master's hand.
