The year is 1942 in Lublin, Poland. Engel Hirsch is a German soldier working patrol in the ghettos, finding happiness in booze, sex, and some parts of the job. One night, after the arrival of new Jews into the ghetto, he catches the eye of a young Aniela Gorski, the daughter of a wealthy Jewish family. From then on, Engel makes it his life mission to toy with her.
