Charlie's parents were marine biologist before they went on a mission out in sea they never returned in response they were deemed dead and Charlie who was 8 at the time had to move in with her abusive evil aunt who hated Charlie and her mother.

So when it came to he 7 birthday her parents gave her a Laptop to code and phone to talk to mommy and daddy and a iPad to watch videos
