Cadence pearl is a well known detective in the police world. Known for her gut instincts and interrogation skills with her sharp, intellectual mind.
But back in her home town she is put to the test against a killer who leaves little evidence for any one to find. Purposely drip feeding the police force all the information they gained.
It becomes a challenge of the mind and a race against time as the town she has grown to love is plunged into chaos and all relationships she has are put at risk.

"How does it feel to be like me? One and the same as the people you judge?" He asked slowly, looking at the body next to him with a slight dismissive eye.
"I am nothing like you" growled Cadence glaring at him detestfully, sounding exhausted.
The man smiled lightly and a light but dark chuckle ensured. He turned back towards Cadence and pointed at the body.
