Skyborn

A few days ago everything was normal. As normal as the air I breathe, to the land I walk on, and the rain that falls from the heavens. I was a good solider. I WAS a good solider. Followed orders and did what I was told, not missing a beat out of hesitation. I guess I started seeing things differently after awhile. Fighting lost its edge, its adrenaline, the feeling you get when your hands are shaking and blood is roaring in your ears, all gone. Now all I see is the aftermath...the death and destruction we laid down like a suffocating blanket over this world. I have to stop it...now.
