Aria was Caleb's best friend growing up, the two did everything together, regardless of what it was.
She sat by his side through all the bullshit in his life early on, she watched him grow.
But, she also had to watch him go through all that he did, good and horrible.
Eventually, the friends drifted apart when he got famous, but it wasn't his fault, it was hers. She was unbelievably proud of him, which is why she left just as his band was taking off; she didn't want to drag him down in any way.
But now she's 28, and the guilt of leaving her best friend when he needed her the most was eating her up, so she bought a ticket for a show, where they first met, she didn't know if he would recognize her, but it didn't really matter, she was always very persistent, so one way or another, she'd get her best friend back.
---
As for Caleb, as soon as he saw Aria, anywhere, he would recognize her, for she was the only thing that kept him going, she was the reason he was famous, her, no one else pushed him to his limits, picked him up every time he was down, knocked sense into him when he was being stupid or reckless, and for that, he owed her his life. Because she was the reason he was still here. Still alive. Still with us.
"You should really tell him soon," Austin said as he walked closer to me.
"It's complicated," I sighed, avoiding eye contact with the greek god standing before me.
"Try me," Austin took another step towards me and once again I moved away from him. My back hit the wall, preventing me from moving any further.
"It's just that I didn't want to upset him if it turned out that this wasn't going anywhere,"
"So now what?" He asked. "Violet I like you a lot, this isn't just some fling," he took a final step toward me and placed both hands on the wall besides my head so I was trapped.
I gulped at his words. "Do you really mean it? Because if I'm going to tell him and risk our friendship I need to know that I'm not going to catch you making out with some cheerleader next week,"
Austin leaned his head forward and nuzzled into my neck. "I want to try and make this work," he said huskily before trailing kisses up my neck and along my jaw.
"Okay, I'll tell him,"
***
Like most of the female population at her school, Violet is completely and utterly head over heels in love with the sex god that is Austin Hendrix. Unlike most of the female population at her school, Violet just so happens to be best friends with Austin's brother, essentially meaning that Austin is off limits, not that that matters since Austin wouldn't even breathe in Violet's direction right?
Wrong.
After having Violet literally fall for him at a concert, Austin can't seem to get the girl with the sarcastic tongue and muddy converse out of his mind.
Throw in Violet's over controlling dad, a phyco ex booty call and the fact that Austin has a knack for charming girls out of their dresses and things may get a little ... complicated.
** As much as I wish I took the picture of the sex god on my cover picture I didn't so credit to whoever that lucky person is**
