Once upon a time, there is a use to be a tall tower. The upper half is where holy beings lived and thrived, with Gods and Goddess being the leader, followed by deities and angels. The lower half resides the demons and more darker type of creatures. But some were lead astray and thus created the middle of the tower. That place is filled with half-bloods and eventually, humans.
Some incident took place and the tower split off, the Holy Land going up, which was named Heaven. The Annex plummeting down, which is name Hell. The middle, an thin line connecting it with Heaven and Hell, and as time grew on, The Yokai World.
