First Book in The Eldest series

There lived six sisters in the Bennet household. The first was a very generous and kind soul who helped her father with the estate and tenants. She passed her childhood away from the Bennts at her Uncle's house in London. She was far more accomplished and intellectual than the others.

What no one knew was the reason behind her aloof and silent demeanor. She used to get lost in her thoughts for hours and avoided assemblies.

The only assembly she ever attended was the one where Mr. Bingley had come with his sisters, brother in law and a Mr. Darcy

When Mr. Darcy first saw her, she was in a corner with Mary. Many men came in her way only to receive a polite no from her. At a dinner, even when everyone laughed at Elizabeth's jest, her smile did not reach her eyes.

Who was she? Why was he so enchanted by her mysterious self?

"In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." -Pride and Prejudice. -Jane Austen. Allison Waters is a girl as simple as they come, atleast that's what she believed. And to be honest she did enjoy a simple life for the past two years. All she wanted to pass her senior year in peace and be happy in life. What she wasn't expecting was to be back in town with a certain Greek God of a Devil acting more annoying than ever... Calling him tall dark and handsome would be the understatement of the century. He is the arrogant quarterback and one of the most popular guys in shcool. He is as I mention previously the reincarnation of the devil in his actions and a Greek God in the looks department, with startling blue eyes, a sinful body and gorgeous hair, who may at different times define the words Cocky and Adorable. Quite a contrast isn't it? Well that's who he is, or for that matter how we all are... a bit of both. Ashton Fobes is Alli's bestfriend, well Ex-Bestfriend, he is also her arch nemisis, her sworn enemy, but he is also the only one who can make her push her limits and challenge her in ways she never thought possible. Soon they were playing with Cupid's arrows trying to set up the unlikeliest couple imaginable, but what they seemed to have forgotten was Fate's wierd sense of humor and so it turned out while they were playing with Cupid's Arrows, he was aiming them at these two instead. Ps: I have now unpublished most of the chapters. Highest Ranking: 30, 35, 50 in teen fiction. 32, 66 in ChickLit. 46, 47, 78 in humor.

Page 2 of a letter from Jane Austen to her sister Cassandra (11 June 1799) in which she first mentions Pride and Prejudice, using its working title First Impressions. (NLA) Set in England in the early 19th century, Pride and Prejudice tells the story of Mr and Mrs Bennet's five unmarried daughters after the rich and eligible Mr Bingley and his status-conscious friend, Mr Darcy, have moved into their neighbourhood. While Bingley takes an immediate liking to the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane, Darcy has difficulty adapting to local society and repeatedly clashes with the second-eldest Bennet daughter, Elizabeth.Though Austen set the story at the turn of the 19th century, it retains a fascination for modern readers, continuing near the top of lists of "most loved books." It has become one of the most popular novels in English literature, selling over 20 million copies, and receives considerable attention from literary scholars. Modern interest in the book has resulted in a number of dramatic adaptations and an abundance of novels and stories imitating Austen's memorable characters or themes.

A modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice. After graduating high school, Lizzie Bennet is looking forward to doing nothing but reading book after book and drinking copious amounts of tea. But when the mansion at Netherfield Park is bought by the wealthy Charles Bingley, her summer plans are thwarted completely by her insane family. Twenty dollars from her mother is more than enough incentive for Lizzie to investigate (stalk) Netherfield Park's newest owner to see if he's good enough to date one of the Bennet girls. But Charles Bingley isn't the only one moving in - his beautiful, charming-but-catty sister Caroline and his not-so-charming best friend William Darcy are joining him for the summer as well. It's the same story we all know and love retold in our time. I hope you enjoy it!
