Not So Bad // Jay
[Disney Descendants Jay x Female!Reader] 16 years ago my mother, the Queen of Hearts, gave birth to her one and only child. Now, being the person she is, my home on the Isle of the Lost was filled with her screams of cutting off the heads of the island's habitants. Later on that brought up some problems... meaning once I had grown up I had developed very sensitive ears. Any volume above normal speaking becomes too loud, and if it's loud and sudden enough, sounds can harm my ears- seriously. Fortunately for me, my mom was smart and kept Maleficent on her good side, and that meant growing up with her daughter, Mal. She found out about my weakness quickly, something I had vowed I would hide from everyone on the Isle. But instead of exploiting my weakness like anyone else would, she welcomed me into her friend group, and they became a better family to me than my mother ever could be. Mal, son of Cruella; Carlos, daughter of the evil queen; Evie, and the son of Jafar; Jay. "Their children are innocent! Don't you think they deserve a second chance?" The Tale of Ruin
"You are obviously not in your respective buildings, this is because this year things will be a little different, welcome to the Balance." In a world where three kingdoms worship three different gods, with three very different ideals. The kingdom of Soladach, values strength and bravery, the brawns. The Kingdom of Deas, values beauty. The kingdom of Kialmar, values wisdom and intelligence, the brains. In an unlikely alliance brains and brawns work together, because little Deas is not so little anymore. Adara Cliste, Princess of Kialmar, has been raised to be perfect; the blueprint of what a brain should be, even if it is all fake. She has never been particularly excited to attend the Nexus, but at least she has Atlas, right? When she arrives to the Nexus what she finds is not what she had anticipated, with an unknown war raging around them Adara is forced adapt at every turn. Not everything can be found in books, while learning to live in this world, she finds a lot of things hang in the balance. She is a Cliste, she will not falter. (This story is an interconnected standalone that I wrote with a friend. If you want to read her story reach out to me, hers follows Cahira, a really prominent character in this story, as she adapts and grows but from a brawns pov. Keep in mind that it is still in the throws of being edited and is still being written. Constructive criticism is appreciated and please point out any plot holes that you notice. :) )

Nuestro Si? Si.

For one, her emotions were out of control. She never got a peace of mind being left alone with herself. She was either blaming herself for actions, or she was traumatized at night by memories on this... place. The same place she felt more comfortable coming back to. Why did she come back? Why was the Isle her safe place? The same place she was punished on consistently for breathing incorrectly if her mother viewed it as so. But even still... it was her pain and her happiness. She felt more trapped and boxed on in Auradon than on the Isle. Was this a bad thing? Did she cause herself to feel that way? Was it Ben? Ben. The thought of him made her put the list against her chest. She felt terrible for leaving him.. but they were in a tough place. He wasn't listening; he wasn't hearing. She was impatient; her expectations.. could they be considered high? Should she focus more on working on her relationship than herself? No, in order to fix the relationship she'd have to fix herself. But she's a part of the relationship... Barely being here fifteen minutes and already struggling within her emotions, Mal began growing an headaches. The headache told her it was time to rest someplace quiet, to ride out the storm within her brain, for in time pain does ebb. "Working on myself hurts..." the purple head muttered in defeat, sighing a bit afterwards. A smirk spread across her face as her eyes landed on an rock had a forget-me-not hue.
