Five years has passed and Katherine Lane-Kent still hasn't wrapped her head around the idea of being a hero. Of being Supergirl. With all eyes on her as the daughter of Superman, Katherine has came to see the harsh reality of being such a popular hero in a world that desperately needed hope. But was that truly what she wanted? Her insecurities and uncertainty are however unfortunately brushed to the side as Superman and the Justice League are called to a distant planet called Rimbor where they are put on trial for the actions Vandal Savage caused them to commit five years ago. This leaves Katherine as the sole protector of Metropolis whilst she struggles to juggle having a social life with debilitating anxiety, everlasting feelings for her closest friend that never seem to go away, a literal alien invasion, and a pregnant mother with raging hormones. Have you ever wondered what it's like being the only Kryptonian on earth without powers? It sucks. I'm Marinette Martha Kent. Yup that's right I'm the daughter of the man of steel....and I mostly take after my mom, so I'm utterly completely human. The worst part of being my father's daughter is I can't be a hero. His excuse is I don't have powers while there are heroes such as Green Arrow and Batman. An alien with no powers equals a worthless alien, and the entire justice league knows it to after all my father said so. At least I have my brothers who believe in me... I'm lying no one in my family thinks I can be a hero I'm just a dumb human to them. What's worse is even the bat family won't help me because they secretly agree, or at least that's what I think. So I did what any normal human would do when in an environment that doesn't believe in them I left. I applied for a 2-year foreign exchange program in France starting my high school year. Her lies prove that they weren't, proves that they also aren't to smart considering one internet search can prove her wrong. Marinette looking for an exscape from her dense class she finds Bruce Wayne is hosting a class trip to Gotham. What needs to be done to enter just happens to be one of her specialities.
