A potom sú tu ľudia, ktorí od narodenia prežívajú peklo. Prekonávajú ťažké chvíle osamote, po nociach plačú do vankúšov a beznádejne dúfajú, že sa všetko na dobé obráti. Tyler patrí práve k skupine ľudí, ktorí nevedia, čo je to šťastie. Nejedenkrát premýšľal o samovražde. Až raz sa rozhodol svoj život nadobro ukončiť. Avšak ešte predtým spísal podrobný list o ľuďoch, ktorých kedysi miloval. Aký bude mať  dopad list mŕtveho chlapca na jeho okolie ? Prídu aj ďalšie samovraždy ?
