After the plane crash is the badly injured Evelyn Swift confused with another passenger, who died in the crash, the glamorous and egocentric Julie Cypher. When Evelyn eventually get back consciousness after extensive plastic surgery, she not only got Julie's appearance, but also her whole live: a husband Drake Cypher, which is a famous presidential candidate, and relatives belonging to a powerful Texas dynasty.
While Evelyn is powerless in the hospital she makes a horrific run-up: someone standing near Drake plan to murder him. To save the life of the man she now begins to love must Evelyn put other people's lives at risk - and her own . . .
