挂科后，如果不马上采取行动，学生将进一步陷入不可挽回的局面，比如被大学开除，甚至签证持有者被遣返回国。
国外大学挂科了怎么办？
一. 校内解释
挂科超过 50%，就有可能收到学校的警告邮件(请大家经常check自己的email，以免错过重要信息），要求校内解释。
学生要向校方解释为什么会出现连续两个学期 fail 50%以上的课程，或者某些必修课double fail甚至triple fail等，需要说服校方自己有足够的能力改善现状，将切实提高学习成绩，学生需要在28天内向移民局解释，否则签证将被自动取消。
二.  转学
1.	 学生必须要修满在读学科6个月 （不包括之前的语言课程） 才可以申请转学。
2.	 学生未读满六个月课程就想转学的，学校必须发放"Release letter"（放行信）才能转学。
3.	 拒绝转学申请，必须有符合转学条例的初衷和注册教育机构的转学政策的理由，并将该理由以书面形式递交给学生。
4.	 如果学校拒绝给学生发Release letter或者在政策规定的限期内不作反应，学生可以通过学校投All Rights Reserved
