Dakota has lived in Germany for 5 years after moving there from Poland when she was 11. She has no memory of her life before moving, and only knows what her mother tells her.
Dakota's mother, Maria, is having a nice man named Falk move in sometime soon, but Dakota has a bad feeling about him that she can't explain. He is the nicest man she'd ever met, but something was still off about him.
A few weeks ago, strange things had started happening to Dakota. She was seeing things that weren't real. Portions of her life had seemingly disappeared without explanation. She has to find out who or what is doing this, and stop it before her whole world vanishes.
