This book is a diary about Alessia Drakos, a girl who has had many tragic events happen to her throughout her life. On May 23rd 2002, she takes her own life but writes in her diary the day prior, the reasons why she did it are all in the book.

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world.
