Mature
Alyssa Mark is abandoned as a teenager by her parents. She lived a hard life at home with 6 siblings and abusive parents that had strong hatred for her. Being the only adopted one, she was never noticed and had never seen the outside world before. When her dad takes her miles and miles away from where they live, she is left alone in the valleys of California, with no food or water. She has to find these resources on her own, and she is most of the time... unlucky. As she gets older, she finds herself struggling more and more to stay alive. There are no signs of any cities, towns, houses, or anything for more than a 100 miles. One night, she is confronted by a stray dog that has also seemed to be abandoned. He has a broken bone in his right front leg and has many marks under his hair on his skin that say he had also been beaten. Alyssa knows exactly what the dog has been through and she is determined to help. At first, they are unsure of each other, but then they learn to build a strong friendship with each other. This gives them a better chance of survival, and now she has someone to comfort her in the forest, and vacant grasslands. As they form a closer relationship, they wonder if they will be able to survive any longer. The weather is getting colder now that winter is coming and the snow is starting to hit them. Is it too late for Alyssa and the stray?

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations. While others her age are embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! She was found on the side of the road near the woods, half naked, bleeding, and mute. She can't seem to remember anything about her past, but even if she did, she doesn't have the means to explain herself. With these sudden turn of events, Faith suddenly has a choice to make. Put some amount of trust in the men who found her, or risk dying out in the woods. (updated slightly to make sense & sound better)
