Fiona knew that death was inevitable. So when she is sixteen and told that death was going to be knocking on her door within two years, her shock was superficial. Sixteen months with a cancer ridden body, Fiona is ready for something new to happen that doesn't have to do with her cancer. Despite her efforts, friendships aren't something she has ever had in the real world. Rather, she flocks to her books as a quick escape. Other than her family, her social life was rather fruitless. That is until she attends the support group for teens with cancer. Life always has a few unexpected turns, but for Fiona it felt like reality wasn't what is always was. There was a new fire in her life, and its name was adventure.
