A young adult girl goes to visit a rather old house who people think is haunted. Once there with her friends,  this young adult finds herself in the past at this house. She time travels back to the  1860's back to the time of the American Civil War first starting.  She learns she's related to the owners of the house. Her friends or friend end up missing or dead by the end of the story.
